LabSMC : Supramolecules-Macromolecules-Catalysis
LabSMC, led by Dr. Yiliu Liu, is a dynamic research group dedicated to supramolecular polymer chemistry. Established in August 2018, our laboratory is affiliated with the School of Emergent Soft Matter at the South China University of Technology. Our research seamlessly integrates synthetic polymer chemistry with controllable molecular assembly. On one hand, inspired by living systems in nature, we develop innovative strategies for controlled polymer synthesis and macromolecular assembly, enabling the creation of biomimetic functional systems and materials. On the other hand, we leverage principles from supramolecular chemistry, macromolecular chemistry, and synthetic biology to engineer living biological systems with the goal of developing biohybrid and bioactive materials. We warmly welcome students and postdoctoral researchers with an interest in molecular assembly, precision polymer synthesis, biomimetic and biohybrid materials, and related fields to join our team!
